This card is used to add new materials, modify or delete them (provided that there is no movement on the materials when deleting), as the materials card contains options for each material, and includes several tabs.
We fill in the fields :
Name: Material name
Folder: Determine the folder to which this material
Code: We either put it manually or leave it blank to automatically take a number.
There is an option (Folder) in the material card when activated, meaning that this material is a folder for the materials for which we specify this material as a folder. We cannot perform inventory operations on the folder, but rather it is a filter used in reports and inventory organization.
Material information: Under this field, we have two tabs of information
As shown in the picture above, here we specify the following information:
Descriptors: Here we define the values of the descriptors for this material, which we will learn later how to open the Descriptors Card
Units: Here we define the units belonging to this material such as (piece - box - kg)
We can enter more than one unit of the material with its value linked to the basic unit, noting that at least one basic unit must be specified and its amount = 1
Prices: To enter the prices of the material with the possibility of linking the price to the unit, that is, each unit becomes its own price for this material.
Barcode: This field is for the materials that are dealt with during sale or purchase via barcode, and here we enter the barcode for the material with the possibility of linking the barcode to the unit, price, class, and type. Here we take advantage of the possibility of placing all the items and types of this material with a special barcode It is in a single material card with the possibility of filtering when requesting reports.
A barcode can be created automatically through a barcode generation tool. Of course, the unit, item, type, and meal must be specified, provided that a barcode is given for the item (type, meal) when creating its card, and after determining the barcode generation tool can be pressed and a barcode will be created automatically for the item.
Category: Through which the item to which the material belongs is determined.
Class: The tax class that the material belongs to is determined.
Discount% : A discount rate for the material can be determined by invoices as a maximum, and for example, 20% meaning that a discount cannot be made on this item with a value not exceeding 20% of the price
Serial numbers option : This option is selected if the material has its own serial number and is mostly used for electrical or electronics tools
