Create a new data file
From the "File - Manage Communications" menu, a screen appears with several options from which we can choose Create
A screen appears with two or more options, depending on your version, as in the picture:
Empty: New, blank file. You must manually create all documents and cards. Arabic Accounting Form: A new accounting file that contains the basic chart of accounts in Arabic language with ready-made vouchers and invoices templates linked to these accounts with designs of some reports to facilitate starting use. Turkey Acc Template: The same form in Arabic, but the account tree is in Turkish
You may find other templates suitable for doing other custom activities or other languages in your version.
To choose any of the forms, just double click to display the following window:
Data name: which is the name of the database on the database engine, the file will not be seen as a normal file, because it is on the database engine and the program here will contact it via this name to use it.
The database name cannot be called in Arabic letters or have spaces in it. Please pay close attention to these conditions.
Address : the network address, if the data is on the same device the address can be left blank. Port : The default value for the port is 5432, and it will be installed automatically when you open this window. Be careful to open this port on the main machine or data server if the data server includes a firewall. If a network license is used.
Username : The name here is necessary and it is the same name used when installing the database, and by default it is postgres
Password : The "postgres" database password that was asked during database setup.
Please pay attention here that the user name and password here are for the database engine and are the same for all files on the same drive on the server, not the username and password for one of the program users or the system administrator.
After pressing the OK button, the creation of the database will start as in the image in case of retrieval from the form.
As for the username and password for the file in the next screen, it is for the file that was created, and usually the username is “admin” and the password is blank, it will be requested the first time when opening the file for the first time, you can change it later.
It is possible, after entering the user name and entering the program, that it will give the message "The file needs to be rebuilt" and the reason for this message is to create a data form on a previous version. To do the rebuilding process, we go to the "Communications Department" in the "File" menu where a window will appear for us to choose from Reconstruct and specify the data that we want to upgrade in order to work on the current version as in the image
We press the "start" button. A confirmation message appears. We press the "Yes" button to continue. We wait until the end and then enter the user name and password to open the data.
Note : It is also preferable to check the data if it is recovered from a form, if it needs to be rebuilt or not, if the program does not show the message "The file needs to be rebuilt".
